Fox Run Auto Welcomes Rob Hurt to the Customer Service Team!

Robert Hurt (better known to us as just Rob) recently joined the Fox Run Auto team as an Automotive Service Advisor. He will be vital to the shop as he is responsible for taking care of our customers. After all, providing excellent customer service is always the number one priority at Fox Run Auto.

Customer Service is Key

Rob will be helping customers, whether they call in or stop by the shop. He will also be working closely with the technicians in the repair center, reviewing what needs to be done and then relaying that back to the vehicle owners. This communication is so important because it allows customers to make informed decisions based on accurate inspections and repair estimates. Some of Rob’s other duties will include working with parts suppliers and other vendors to make sure the technicians have all the resources they need to get the job done right.

A Strong Professional Background

Though he is new to the Fox Run Auto team, Rob brings 20 years of experience in the automotive repair industry. He attended the University of New Hampshire, where he studied Mathematics. Rob has been trained extensively in sales, customer service, payroll management, human resources, job recruiting, performance management and public speaking. All of these skills will be helpful in his position as a Service Advisor.

When asked what he likes about working at Fox Run Auto so far, Rob responded: “Fox Run Auto is a great place to work because of the people. Our team is awesome to work with—real professionals that know how to fix a car and take care of a person. This is a great place for me.”

Rob admits he kind of stumbled into the auto repair industry. He took his first job at a shop despite knowing very little about cars at the time. He just wanted to help support his wife, Sara, as she worked her way through graduate school. Rob stuck around in the field because he quickly found out that fundamental values such as honesty and integrity can make such a difference in the world of auto repair.

Outside of Work

Rob and Sara have two children, Louden and Sloane, along with a dog, Benji. His family moved to Middletown in 2010 after having lived all over the place. Rob comes from a military family and got used to moving. He’s lived in California, Massachusetts, Virginia, New Hampshire and Minnesota, but he feels a strong connection to Northern Delaware and has now officially lived here longer than anywhere else. In his free time, Rob considers himself a real “foodie” who loves trying new cuisine from all over the world.
