Recently, Michael came in for a really simple request. He had just moved to Delaware from New Jersey and he needed to put on his new license plate. Unfortunately, the old screw was rusted on pretty badly and he couldn't get it loose.
"When it came time to replace my NJ license plate with my new DE plate, I could not get the NJ plate off because the fastener had rusted," Michael says. "I called Fox Run Auto and explained my dilemma to Mike Accursi [Service Advisor]. Mike asked if I could bring my auto by and he would look at it."
This may not seem like a big job, but we believe in helping any customers with any automotive needs they have. Because of our weather here in the Mid-Atlantic, rust is always a battle we're facing. Old screws, bolts/nuts, connection points and other metal components are susceptible to rust and you have to be really careful trying to get them loose in order not to damage anything else. It's not always easy as Michael found out.
Either way, Michael came to us for help and we were ready to tackle the problem. We know some tricks of the trade when it comes to safely removing rusty screws, and Mike were able to get the old license plate off after only a few minutes of tinkering.
"Mike was able to loosen the rusted screw and secure my new DE license in 10 minutes," Michael adds. "I sincerely appreciate Mike making time to help me out. I found my new service shop in Delaware. I thanked Mike and told him he had just earned a new customer. It was refreshing to get such great customer service."
Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference. Even though removing a rusted license plate screw was a simple job, Michael knew he had found an auto shop that he could trust to be there whenever he needs us.
