Steve recently got new tires on his car. When they were being installed, the tire shop mentioned that they noticed the wear pattern on his old tires was cause for concern. They saw that the tread wear was uneven and recommended that he get a wheel alignment performed. That's when Steve brought his vehicle to Fox Run Auto in Bear, DE.
"I got new tires and was told because of the wear pattern I needed an alignment," Steve writes in his recent Google review. "I also heard a growling noise and Fox Run Auto diagnosed that I had a wheel bearing going bad. They fixed the bearing, aligned the wheels and checked the undercarriage."
Wheel alignment is a very important procedure to have performed periodically on any vehicle. If the wheels are out of alignment, it can lead to performance issues and it can potentially damage other components in the vehicle such as the brakes, suspension, differentials and the wheels themselves. It will also affect the handling of the vehicle and it will wear out the tires unevenly, reducing their lifespan significantly.
It's hard to say in Steve's case whether the bad wheel bearing caused the misalignment or the wheel misalignment led to the bearing failure. Either way, one problem compounded the other. Fortunately, the tire shop made a good recommendation and Steve's issues were resolved by the knowledgeable and dedicated Fox Run Auto repair technicians before any further problems developed.
"They said what they would do and did what they said," Steve adds. "It's nice having a company that walks the walk, and not just talk."
